I laughed for 90 minutes!

Wickedly funny:) It's a must see.

And does anyone know why German movie theaters have assigned seating?

Odd-- the theater we go to in Frankfurt does not have assigned seating, but the one we went to in Turkey did. I think it was so that people wouldn't leave one seat between them and the next person, which means when they sell tickets together, you know you can sit together...and every seat can be filled. Just my thoughts though...

That makes sense. You know, Germans are efficient, if anything! Every time I ask G, he says - That's just the way it is!

The assigned seating bugs me. I get it for crowded movies, but even when the theater's pretty empty they always stick us right next to people!

My thoughts, exactly. I prefer open seating.
