Amsterdam!

Did you know that Amsterdam is the most diverse city in Europe, with over 150 different nationalities? Love it! It was so refreshing to see couples of every ethnic group and sexual orientation living in harmony together. The city is full of super friendly locals, international restaurants and many interesting stores. You can spend an entire day just exploring. And of course there are the museums, the Coffee Shops and the infamous Red Light District....basically, there is something for everyone:) My only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer. I am anxious, to say the least, to return!
In the meantime, G bought these Dutch Clogs to hold me over until we make it back.

Some souvenirs, no matter how cheesy, are worth having.

Biathlon Weltcup

Last Sunday, I went to the Biathlon Weltcup in Ruhpolding.
Skiing and target shooting...uh...interesting sport.
But the scenery was magnificent.

Dubai

We spent the second half of our honeymoon in Dubai. It's one of the coolest places I've ever visited. It's an ultra modern and international city, with unbelievable shopping, the desert, and such exotic and rich cultural experiences, all rolled into one. It is now one of our favorite destinations. We've already started looking for flights for New Year's Eve! As expected, the Burj Al Arab is spectacular. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the beach with this view...

I even tried sandboarding!

We also shopped at a spice and gold souk.

The Maldives

We're back. Our honeymoon was just wonderful...almost surreal. We spent the first half in The Maldives. Our island was perfect on every level - totally secluded, pristine beaches, crystal clear water, excellent fresh food, and sooooo romantic. G surprised me with a jacuzzi tub that sat on the deck of our water villa, so watching the sunset in the tub together every evening was divine!

Egypt in Paris

The Louvre is simply amazing. Amazing. No matter how sophisticated or cultured you may be, I guarantee that in less than an hour, you will find yourself walking around with your mouth open in awe. My Mom loves all things Egyptian, so most, if not all of our photos are from the Department of of Egyptian Antiquities. We took so many photos there, that when it was time to capture the Mona Lisa, one camera was kaput (as well as our feet!) and the back up camera's battery was almost empty, meaning no flash. So we took as many shots as we could. The photo is a very dark shot, but considering the Mona Lisa is widely recognized as the most famous painting in the history of art, I'm sure you can still appreciate it's beauty.
