Btw- I went to the dirndl shop today - Shatzi's Dirndl. Did you end up going? The shop owner mentioned that another American from NY had just been in recently that had found the store through the fashion show, so I was wondering if that was you?

I was so excited to see the selection at Schatzi's but when we called, she said it was "by appointment only". I assumed that means they are custom made. How was it? Did you find something?

Yes it is by appointment and definitely a high end dirndl place. We stopped by without an appointment (I didn't think to call first). Shatzi was there and let us take a look around - they had about 100 dresses in the shop and all gorgeous! Some handmade and hand embroidered, very traditional or with a modern flair. Definitely not entry or even intermediate level though but I wanted about 10 of them.

That's what I gathered from the phone call. I'm actually glad I didn't see them - I know myself! So the search continues....I'll keep you posted and vice versa:)
