Weihnachtsgeschenke
This year, we are ahead of the game, for a change. We are done with everybody on our shopping list (woo hoo!) - except for Denzel. We want to buy all of his presents in Germany. It's kind of a tradition. Whenever we spend Christmas in Germany, on the night before Christmas Eve, G and I head to the pet store near G's parents' home, and we take our time browsing the aisles, searching for special little presents for our favorite boy. We always buy too much and we always lose all will power and give him present after present on Christmas Day! I'm really looking forward to spending the holiday in Germany this year. I haven't been to my second home :) since February. In anticipation, we've already attended one Weihnachtsmarkt, sponsored by the German Armed Forces Command of Virginia, and tonight, we are headed to a Gluewein Party. YUMMY.

I went to a Weihnachtsmarkt (though they called it Christkindlmarkt) at the German-American Society of Tulsa, but it wasn't the same (indoors...and all). They didn't have Gluewein, and you get to go to a Gluewein party! I'm so jealous!
I am so jealous you will be spending Christmas in Germany. I also consider that country my 2nd home so enjoy the time for both of us.
Also, with our dog, we are going all out. For his bday we had a party replete with doggy party cookies and loads of treats. I am scouting high and low for the perfect presents for him but we will get them Christmas Eve instead. Looks like both our dogs are spoiled...nothing wrong with that.

But you know you can make it at home - I know it's not the same but just the smell and taste bring back good memories for me! Do you have a Trader Joe's near you? That's where L picked up the bottles which were the base...then she jazzed it up!
Unfortunately, no Trader Joe's in Tulsa. :(

I think it's perfectly normal to spoil your dog - they give us soooo much love 24/7, so why not show them how much we appreciate their companionship?
