Ich bin fertig.

Today was the last day of my German language course. Whoo hoo! However,
now I have one week to study for the Zertifikat Deutsch, which will be the hardest and longest (8 hours) exam I have ever taken. And I really need a full week to go over all of the material. Crazy, I know.
But for now and this weekend, I think I'm going to concentrate on sleeping in, teaching Denzel to "speak", and spring shoe shopping:)

Valentine's Day

I hope you had a romantic Valentine's Day, filled with chocolates, mushy greeting cards, naughty presents, a candlelit dinner, and a night of passion for dessert! Me, what did I do today? Well, first of all, G is out of town on business. So you know the old saying about when the cat is away, the mouse will come out and play? Oh, yeah, I was a housewife out on the lose! I went to Hugendubel - the bookstore. Whoo hoo!
I bought the latest book by Sophie Hannah, picked up some Kauknochen for Denzel, baked my favorite fish of the moment, Pangasius, and now I'm going to pour myself a glass of Pflaumenwein, and let my wild night of reading begin.

Ein typischer Sonntag

Sunday mornings, we usually take Denzel for a long walk through the Englischer Garten. It's the perfect place to train him off the leash and the perfect place for Denzel to meet other friendly dogs. The Englischer Garten is beautiful but huge, so over time, we've narrowed down our own little area. We are even starting to meet the same people. So every Sunday, I ask G the same question about the mounds of dirt I have to step over in the fields. And he gives me the same answer, "Maulwürfe" ......or moles. I can't tell you why, but the idea of moles, living and borrowing so close to our home, is really strange to imagine for a city girl, like myself. Moles?
